How to support the Polar Bears by writing to the Fish and Wildlife Service

I'm speaking at a rally on March 20th for the enlistment of the Polar Bears as an endangered species. The last day to save the Polar Bears is April 9. At the rally I want to say that I have gotten lots of other kids to send letters to the Fish and Wildlife Service. So peoples.... here's how you do it! Take the sample letter below (add your own thoughts if you want) and either post it as a comment to my blog, or email it to soccermollie@gmail.com. You need a Google or Blogger account to post to the blog. Then I will print out all the letters and deliver them to the Fish and Wildlife Service. My mom read in the paper this morning that sometimes government offices ignore emails so I will make sure they see your letter!!! Here's the letter:

Mr. Dale Hall, Director
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Dear Mr. Hall:

I strongly support including the polar bear on the Endangered Species list. I am (put number in) years old, and I want polar bears to still be around when I grow up. We want polar bears to be part of the future. Thank you for all the work you do keeping animals safe. Thank You for all your time and attention to this.

Yours Truly,

Dear Mr. Hall:

I strongly support including the polar bear on the Endangered Species list. I am 12 years old, and I want polar bears to still be around when I grow up. I want polar bears to be part of the future. They are important animals in our world, and we just can't let our greed and selfishness erase these animals from the environment. I care about the polar bears, we all care about the polar bears. Thank you for all the work you do keeping all the animals safe. Thank you for all your time and attention to this. Please read this letter and understand that polar bears need to be helped. Add them to the Endangered Species list, and you'll never regret it!!!

Dear Mollie:

Thank you for doing this. I didn't get to write you in time for your speech today.

So I wrote two letters and mailed them myself.

One is to Dale Hall; the other to Congressman Moran.

You really inspired me to do something. Keep me posted and let me know what else I can do.

Thank you, Mollie --

Mollie,
Here is my letter to Congressman Moran:

Congressman James P. Moran
2239 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515-4608 March 20, 2007

Dear Congressman Moran:

I strongly support including the polar bear on the Endangered Species list. Alaska is home to a mainstay of the world’s polar bears, population 20,000 and shrinking. So we should help.

I am the mother of 2 children, 7 and 9 years old, I want polar bears to be part of the future for all children, and I vote. Thank you for all the work you do, and for all your time and attention to this.

Yours Truly,

Joanne Masterson
