- HELLO! My name is Mollie Passacantando and I am 13 years old. When I was 8 I did a project to help put the Polar Bears on the Endangered Species list. Shortly after I won two awards and I am now in a book. For the past two years I have been doing a project with my school involving bees. It feels great to make a difference! For the record, that little bit about fluorescent lightbulbs is a lie. FLBs contain mercury. The majority of Americans have no idea how to dispose of them. Each FLB contains enough mercury to kill three fish.
